Hell Girl to Premiere on IFC VOD Next Week – Network Premiere this October

Comments Off

Another FUNimation series is heading it’s way towards IFC. The Independent Film Channel announced today that it will premiering the first episode of Hell Girl this Thursday, July 3rd on IFC VOD (Video on Demand). Its Network Television Premiere is set later this year on October 3rd.

The synopsis for this haunting thriller is quite simple. There is a rumored site called http://hellcorrespondence.com that is inaccessible for most of the day. But if a person who seeks vengeance goes into the site at midnight, they will be asked to enter two names, their name and the name of who they want to damn to Hell. Soon after a girl named Ai Enma (Hell Girl) will visit the latter and will haunt them before taking their soul. The price however is a steep one. When the person seeking vengeance dies, their soul will be damned as well. This is not the first grim tale that IFC has picked up in their collaboration with FUNimation. In fact, titles such as Basilisk, Gunslinger Girl, and Witch Blade have been a part of their schedule for some time.

I’m posting a trailer of the series down below. You can also checkout the official Hell Girl website at http://www.funimation.com/hellgirl or call your local cable/satellite dish/network provider to see if you have IFC.

OmoshiroiBlog goes WordPress in 3… 2… 1…

Comments Off

Well, it’s been almost one year since I offically opened this blog to the public.  How befitting that I put in the finishing touches on the eve of OmoshiroiBlog’s anniversary.  After looking at what WordPress is capable of, I trust that this will make things easier for everyone involved.

I would also like to take this time to thank everyone for making the month of May my highest in unique visits.  While my unique visits may not seem like much, it’s still nice to actually hit that number – multiply that number by fifteen, then I’d be set ^^;

Finishing up, please register before you comment, C&C is welcome, flames are not.

Enjoy!

Hulk Smash! – Kotobukiya Unveils their Newest Fine Art Statue The Incredible Hulk

Comments Off

Hulk Smash!

In their continuing collaboration with Marvel Studios, Kotobukiya has unveiled their newest import THE INCREDIBLE HULK. Standing 14″ tall, he has been created from cold cast porcelain by master artisan Junnosuke Abe. Mr. Abe has faithfully rendered the Marvel Superhero in his final fight with the Abomination. This includes details such as the one found on the hummer, the enlarged veins on the Hulk, and the facial likeness of actor Edward Norton himself. Each of the Hulk Statues will be individually numbered on the bottom of the base as part of a Limited Edition. Collectors will also be interested to know that the Hulk base, made to look like a battle zone in the city, will interlock with the upcoming Abomination Fine Art Statue to make a diorama between the two. We will keep you posted on the Abomination’s release as it comes.

The Hulk model will be available in January.

Two Reviews and One Preview Posted: M. Shugogetten, Lucky Star, NIS America

Comments Off

Oh boy… Well if anything I’ve learned a great deal these past few months. When I first starting posting the reviews on the blog rather than it’s old home, I thought I could post frequently enough that I could add an extra list on the front page. Having a great fall, I’ve realized that it’s not the case. Therefore when OmoshiroiBlog gets its next face lift next week, the articles will be officially removed and I will temporarily go back to the old format on the main website.

See you all on the 24th… if not sooner!
