Comments OffOver a month ago I managed to go to Pacific Media Expo over in LAX. The review was held back to take care of some other matters, but I finally got this one in. I apologize for taking so long.

Funimation has announced that they have acquired multiple rights to the Slayers Revolution. This is the fourth season in the series.
Like the previous seasons, Takashi Watanabe directed this season of Slayers. The voice talent also includes Yasunori Matsumoto and Megumi Hayashibara. For those who are eager to get the series on DVD, you will have to wait until sometime in the year 2010. Fans who are eager to get the series on Blue-ray… you might have to wait a little while longer. For more information go to funimation.com/slayersrevolution.

Funimation Acquires Oh! Edo Rocket
Comments OffFunimation announced today that it has acquired multiple media distribution rights for the Studio Madhouse series Oh! Edo Rocket. The series was adapted by for a theater troupe by Kazuki Kahashima and directed by Seiji Mizushima.

Last Exile Acquired by Funimation
Comments OffFunimation annouced today that it has acquired the rights to the anime series Last Exile. The series was directed by Kouichi Chigira, and character designs by Range Murata.

Crunchyroll announced today that it will be premiering The Tower of Druaga – The Sword of Uruk on January 8th. This is the sequel to the Gonzo’s hit series The Tower of Duraga – The Aegis of Uruk, which aired earlier this year.
This is inconjunction with Crunchyroll’s new Anime Membership that they plan to begin on the same day. Members who pay the fee will recieve several benefits including watching watching several titles on Hi-Definition (720p), or early acess to episodes.

Ai Iijima Found Dead at the Age of 36
Comments OffTokyo Graph reported today that Ai Iijima was found dead in her apartment in Tokyo today. She was 36.
She began her career as an AV actress in 1992 and left one year later. She began to grow popularity as a variety show host. Her autobiography Platonic Sex was published in 2000 and became a best seller, eventually being turned into a TV drama.
According to the police report her body was found around 3:15 p.m. by an acquaintance after she stopped responding to communications for several days. It is unknown at this time what she died of or for how long.
An autopsy is scheduled to take place on Thursday.
