co·no·mi·chi by Buono!

Comments Off

If you waited until Friday to see episode 69 of Shugo Chara (present company included) you may have noticed that there was a new ending sequence featuring Amu’s little sister. The music was once again provided by the group Buono!

The group actually released a music video early January (the single came out on the 21st). YouTube user bball910sk found the video, which I’m now posting here. So here is the second ending sequence to Shugo Chara Doki, co·no·mi·chi (This Road), by Buono!

Extra: I’ve also added (after the jump) the making of the music video co·no·mi·chi, and the previous ending sequence Rottara Rottara – Lotta, Lotta (Love).

Samsung's Gives Specs on New Eco-Friendly Phone

Blue Earth

If Captain Planet ever had a cell phone… Back on Thursday Samsung revealed their new phone currently dubbed Blue Earth. After reading the specs, the phone’s features, manufacturing, and packaging process scream out eco-friendly.

While you are provided with a 0.3 Watt charger, the touch screen phone main energy source is from solar panel on the back. The phone also features a pedometer, which also calculates how much CO2 emissions you’ve saved by walking over driving. The phone is also made out of recycled plastic bottles, reducing the carbon emissions in making them. Finally the packaging is made out of recycled paper.

The Blue Earth phone will be revealed at the Mobile World Congress 2009 this week.

Funimation Acquires the Rights to Four Anime Titles

Comments Off

Funimation announced today that they have acquired multiple rights to four different anime titles. Three of them are from Gonzo, and two of them are appearing on CrunchyRoll.

The titles include The Tower of Druaga, Bamboo Blade, Dragonaut, and Blassreiter. According to the press release, Druaga will consist of 25 episodes, which could mean both Aegis and Sword of URUK. What also makes the deal interesting is that while Funimation has internet rights to the other Gonzo titles, they only have “limited digital rights” to Druaga. Other unique deals include mobile rights to just Dragonaut and Blassreiter.

No release dates were announced with any of the titles.

Banner removed to prevent malware infection. =(

I first found the trailer on Apple a few days after it began playing in theaters. The billboard scene always cracks me up.

I’ve posted one of their ads which not only features their trailer, but three clips from the movie, and locations where the movie is (and will be) playing.
