Evangelion 2.0 to Arrive in North American Theaters… Sometime in January?

Cinemea Aisa announced today that it will be releasing Evangelion 2.0 in American Theaters in January of next year. This is in collaboration with Eleven Arts and FUNimation.

No details as to exactly when and where it will be released…

Aoi Miyazaki to Star in Solanin Live Adaptation

When Asmik Ace announced their upcoming lineup, the primary focus was on the live adaptation of Inio Asano’s Solanin. The trailer featured Aoi Miyazaki (Nana) playing the guitar and on vocals.

Filming starts on April 25.

Mandalay Pictures Acquires Rights to Make Full Metal Panic Live Movie

Hollywood Reported announced today that Mandalay Pictures has acquired the theatrical rights to Full Metal Panic. They also reported that Zac Efron has also been connected with the movie, however nothing has been set in stone just yet.

While the project has a first-look deal with Universal, it has not been set up at a studio.

The Garden of Sinners: Paradox Paradigm to Make US Peremiere at Anime Boston

Aniplex announced today that they will premiere The Garden of Sinners: Paradox Paradigm at Anime Boston. This is the fifth movie in the series (both numerically and chronologically).

The movie is adapted from the cult novels written by Konoko Nasu, who later went on to create Tsukihime: Lunar Legend, and Fate Stay Night. The movie will premiere on the first day of the convention, which will take place from May 22nd to the 24th.

Emmy Rossum Talks to MTV About Dragonball Evolution

MTV caught up to Emmy Rossum during the Sundance Festival, and talked to her about her upcoming role as Bulma in Dragonball Evolution. She was at the event to debut her new film Dare.

She says “She’s (Bulma) a lot tougher than any character I’ve ever played”. Near the end of the video she says that she’s looking forward to see how the Kamehameha turns out, and that “Justin Chatwin did it justice”.

Pacific Asia Museum to Hold Samurai Themed Exhibitions Over the Next Six Months

The Pacific Asia Museum announced earlier this week that they will be holding several Samurai themed exhibitions over the next six months. The Pasadena based museum will hold its first exhibition on February 19.

Here is a brief description of each of the exhibitions:
