There has been some buzz this past week about a website called FindMakarov.com, and the countdown displayed. As it turns out when the countdown ended yesterday, the web address then began to link to a fan base video on YouTube.

The video was made by a group called “We Can Pretend” a creative collective based in Toronto, Canada. The video features footage from the Modern Warfare series that was recreated with live actors.

IMHO: Aside from being well polished and overall awesome, the one thing that stuck in my mind was the ending where Price and Soap jumping out of Nikolai’s plane over the skies of…

K-On / Persona 4 Crossover

Comments Off

In these first two videos we see the cast of K-On taking on the roles of the female cast from Persona 4, while performing the ending credits of their own show (“Don’t Say Lazy” & “No Thank You”). The video following is the cast of Persona 4 taking on the roles of cast of Soul Eater, while performing the (3rd) ending credits to said show.

While the second video appear unfinished, they’re all still a good watch. Hopefully the creator will be able to produce a more polished product in the near future.

Kinda ironic that Mio looks a lot like herself when playing the role of Yukiko. Also is that Adachi? No way…

B. B. Reviews – Rebuild

Comments Off

In the game “Rebuild” the city has been overrun by zombies. Only a handful of people have have managed to create a zombie free zone; it’s relatively protected by a barracades. You orgainize daily tasks which include recruiting survivors, scavenging for food, and reclaiming land. The city blocks are divided into different categories that increase food, morale, living quarters, defense, and technology. You are placed smack dab in the middle of the city, and since each map is random, no two cities are alike. There are several ways of winning the game (besides clearing all the tiles out) – and they include reclaiming city hall to create a new parliament, reclaiming an evil cemetery to seal a portal, or reclaiming three labradories to find a find a cure.

All the essential staples for a quick game are here. It takes less than a minute to send out all the needed commands for a single day, and the save feature makes it easy to pick up where you. What I really liked about it is the whole new spin on zombie survivor genre. For the most part it’s also well balanced, and while I’ve had trouble getting to an essential block, I’m able to endure in normal difficulty.

The only real bone that I have to pick with it is the learning curve between “Normal” and “Hard”. While there is a something of a balance in challanges with in the former, the latter is unforgiving in attacks, and this is taking into account that there are two even more difficult levels to choose from (“Harder” and “Nightmare”). The other (more forgiveable) issue is much like “Flight”, you can only go to the main menu if you reload the page. This makes it tedious if you want to start all over again.

In short it’s a fun little game for the zombie lovers who want to get some game on during their break. If you’re looking to get the taste of Valentine’s Day out of your mouth you could do a lot worse. To check it out click here.

Using video games as a social outlet? BLASPHEMOUS!

xBLACKCAT215x posted this video today about his life story. Namely about his downfall in football and his road to recovery thanks to video games.

He starts off by talking about his life in football, and how he began to take a “legal” steroid to get stronger despite his strong talents. He continues about going through what sounds like withdrawal – partially due to a genetic trait that laid dormant until then. Eventually he loses his identity as a football player, along with his social circles. Then at the end of the story he talks about how using YouTube and video games as a social outlet to reach out to people, including people who supported him.
