I am glad that they decided not to over-do the anime and end it before it grew stale. It's the only way to preserve artistic integrity. But, I would love to see just a bit more origonal content from this series. If not a compressed movie remake then maybe a short OVA of Ryuji and Tigra's life together after the events of the show. Something sweet and easy going (not and emotional roller-coaster) just for some closure for the dedicated fan-base. I am in love with the anime too.
